Fargo Public Works to engage in residential street snow pack removal

Based on forecasted warm temperatures, Fargo Public Works crews will be attempting to blade loosened snow pack from residential streets throughout the city on Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 pm.

On Thursday, crews’ focus will be on 19th Avenue North to I-94, from 25th Street to the Red River and on Friday, crews will move out of the inner-city area, continuing working north and south until complete. Residents are asked to move all vehicles from streets to assist with this cleanup.

Operators will attempt to limit the amount of snow/ice deposited in driveways and crosswalks. Residents should be aware there is no way to prevent deposits from occurring. As a reminder, it is the responsibility of the adjacent property owner to clear snow left at crosswalks to maintain ADA compliance.

For safety reasons, please give snow removal equipment as much room as possible. The City of Fargo thanks residents for their patience as crews work to clear the roadways.
