I-29, Highway 13 reopens

 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) have OPENED I-29 northbound and southbound lanes from Grand Forks to the South Dakota Border and OPENED ND HWY 13 eastbound and westbound lanes from I-29 to Wahpeton. A No Travel Advisory remains in effect due to strong winds causing blowing and drifting snow, areas of zero visibility, and hazardous driving conditions.

The No Travel Advised has been LIFTED from portions of northeastern North Dakota including the cities of Cooperstown, Michigan and Cavalier.

  • I-29 CLOSED from Grand Forks to the Canadian Border.
  • A No Travel Advised is in effect for much of eastern North Dakota due to blowing and drifting snow creating areas of near zero visibility and hazardous driving conditions. Cities included in the No Travel Advised are Fargo, Casselton, Hillsboro, Pembina, Grafton, Grand Forks, Lisbon, Forman, Wahpeton, Kindred, and surrounding areas. Motorists should not travel due to hazardous conditions which may make it unsafe to travel.
  • There is a Travel Alert in effect for Valley City, Ellendale, Edgeley and surrounding areas.
