The Facebook page of iconic Grand Forks restaurant, Sky’s, says their founder, John “Sky” Manske, has died. The Grand Forks Herald says Manske was found dead in his Grand Forks home on Wednesday morning. He was 52.
Manske purchased Sanders restaurant, renaming it Sky’s Fine Dining, in 2015.
The restaurant says Manske’s profound influence on them as a fine dining establishment and members of the Grand Forks community will carry on.
A celebration of life will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.
The Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks is entrusted with the arrangements.
