Cass County authorities arrest three following farmstead burglary

 

On February 18, 2020, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people for various offenses in rural Arthur, North Dakota.  Through the initial investigation, deputies impounded a van containing a large amount of stolen property.  At this time, the sheriff’s office has not been able to locate all of the owners of the property.  The Cass County Sheriff’s Office urges rural residents to check their property and check to see if they have been a victim of the burglaries .  If it appears your property has been burglarized, please notify our office by either calling (701) 241-5800 or contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center and request to speak with a deputy. 

Arrested were Cody Steven Landa, who is charged with nighttime burglary, possession of methamphetamine (first offense), failure to transfer title and driving under suspension; Joshua Lee Moen, Jr., who is charged with nighttime burglary and possession of methamphetamine (second offense); and Bailey Marie Backstrom, who is charged with driving under suspension.
