Crash Injures Two Near Leeds

At approximately 4:56 p.m. Thursday, a Chevrolet truck, operated by Brian Bjerke, was traveling southbound on 62nd Ave NE before turning westbound on US HWY 2 near Leeds, ND. Bjerke was traveling in the outside lane and picking up speed.

An International truck tractor, driven by Edward Kelly Jr., was also traveling west on US HWY 2 and did not switch lanes to pass the slower moving truck.

Kelly was transported by Leeds Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake before being transferred by Valley Med Flight to Altru in Grand Forks with serious injuries.
