West Fargo High Schools Selected for Academic All-State Team

The North Dakota Association of Secondary School Principals has selected seven West Fargo High School and eight Sheyenne High School seniors for the 2020 North Dakota Academic All-State Teams: 

• 2020 Academic All-State Silver Team: Kayla Teigen 

• 2020 Academic All-State Bronze Team: Jacob Angus and Ryan Orth 

• 2020 Academic All-State Honorable Mention: Karlie Mathias, Jacob Koziol, Abigail Klaman, Caitlin Anderson, Kooper Shagena, Lawson Kraft, Sydney Leggio, Korri Dragt, Nicholas Gaebe, Michael Stephenson, Ethan Tong, and Wyatt Warkenthien 

High school seniors are nominated by their school principal and compete for the honor on a statewide basis in both Class A and Class B divisions. Student selection is based on overall GPA, ACT or SAT test scores, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and leadership qualities. 

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Team members will be presented a certificate of merit by the North Dakota Association of Secondary School Principals. In addition, WDAY and Forum Communications will present a medallion to each team member during a televised broadcast at the state basketball tournaments on March 13 and March 20. Certificates of merit will be sent to Honorable Mention Team members from the North Dakota Association of Secondary School Principals.
