A man is dead after being hit by a train in Detroit Lakes. Police say it happened at around 12:15 a.m. Monday. They say the pedestrian was struck by a southbound train at the Canadian Pacific Railroad crossing. Officers and Paramedics attempted CPR and other lifesaving measures, and the pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Essentia/St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes, where the 57-year-old male was pronounced dead. No other information available at this time.
