NDGOP cancels State Convention

Today, the North Dakota Republican Party ("NDGOP") announced that it would cancel the State Convention, scheduled to take place in Bismarck from March 27-28th, out of concerns for containing the spread of COVID-19:

"While we take our duties of nominating and selecting candidates seriously, the State Party is also mindful of the guidance issued by President Trump, Governor Burgum, and the North Dakota Department of Health cautioning against large gatherings. We must do our part to keep North Dakotans safe. I am deeply appreciative of all of the work our Convention Chairwoman Sheri Haugen-Hoffert, our staff, and Party leaders have done to prepare a wonderful event. We will continue to monitor this evolving situation and update with future plans as we know them." - NDGOP Chairman Rick Berg
