North Dakota among states with gas average below $2

The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in North Dakota declined by 20 cents in the past week.

With today’s average at $1.96, North Dakota joins 20 other states with an average below $2, according to AAA. The statewide average has not been this cheap since March 14, 2016.

Pump prices continue to decline around the country as oil prices have decreased significantly in response to the increasing public health and economic impact of COVID-19 and the crude price war between Russia and Saudi Arabia.  Nationally, the price of gas averages $2.12.

Across North Dakota, two-thirds of the state’s 53 counties have an average gas price below $2.  One year ago the statewide average was $2.55. For additional information fuel prices, visit AAA.com/gas.
