President Trump extends social distancing guidelines to April 30

 

In a Sunday news conference outside The White House, President Donald Trump announced he will extend the social distancing guidelines to April 30, as the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues its spread across the United States.

As of Sunday afternoon, the North Dakota Department of Health reported 98 positive tests, out of 3,724 total tests. The Minnesota Department of Health has reported 503 positive tests, out of approximately 17,657 tests in the state.

Trump says modeling shows the peak of the death rate coming in approximately two weeks and says he hopes to have the country re-opened by June 1.

Among the guidelines, released on March 16, is to avoid social gatherings in groups of more than 10 people, avoid discretionary travel and work from home whenever possible.
