CASS COUNTY NOW HAS MORE CONFIRMED CASES OF CORONAVIRUS THATN ANY OTHER STATE AFTER 8 CAME IN TUESDAY…A MIX OF AGES AND EVEN SPLIT ON GENDERS…CASS COUNTY NOW HAS 31 CONFIRMED CASES….PRESIDENT TRUMP HAS SAID EXPECT THE PEAK IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS NATIONWIDE BUT GOVERNOR DOUG BURGUM SAID TUESDAY THAT SINCE THE SPREAD HIT NORTH DAKOTA LATE, THE PEAK HERE MIGHT BE FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD….AND IF ND NEEDS TO HAVE DIFFERENT GUIDELINES THAN OTHER STATES THEN SO BE IT……SOT…..NORTH DAKOTA’S 122 CASES RANKS 4TH FROM THE BOTTOM…NEW YORK LEADS WITH MORE THAN 75-THOUSAND…SOUTH DAKOTA HAS THE FEWEST CASES IN THE NATION AT 101….

Gov. Doug Burgum ALSO announced the activation of North Dakota’s Workforce Coordination Center to serve emergency workforce needs in support of health care providers, industries and agencies affected by COVID-19.
The WCC, which was set up through collaboration between several state agencies, is seeking individuals willing to help with the COVID-19 situation who have experience in certain sectors who are deemed necessary for communication in case of emergency.

Dr. Deborah Birx , coordinator for the White House coronavirus task force, and Dr. Anthony Fauci said TUESDAY they are still projecting between 100,000 and 200,000 deaths in the U.S. with a peak in fatalities over the next two weeks. A slide presented at the press conference showed as many as 240,000 deaths were possible.

Earlier Tuesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released preliminary data showed that you can add diabetes to the list of conditions that makes someone at increased risk of developing severe complications...earlier guidance had listed  chronic lung disease, heart disease or those who smoke as accelerating factors

North Dakota’s K-12 students are resuming their school year today...Rather than classrooms, most will be at home, learning via the internet.  Burgum has ordered that school buildings be closed to classes indefinitely....districts that have a state-approved plan will be eligible to get state funding to help them with costs of education, as they would normally receive...Public schools leader Kirsten Baesler said at 7 pm last night that only 11 of the state's 171 districts had not had final approval for their online school plans but that her team was still working on the remaining 11 and expected that all would be cleared in time for the start of school this morning.

the City of West Fargo has extended its closure to the public of all city facilities to Friday April 17th........the city is also asking any employees who are not deemed essential on site to work from home....

and wall street closed it's worst quarter in history ON TUESDAY....the dow jones lost 41 points to finish just over 21-thousand....the loss for the quarter was 22%
