North Dakota State University announces presumptive positive COVID-19 case

Officials from North Dakota State University announced, on Thursday morning, the University has had a presumptive positive case of COVID-19 within the campus community. In an e-mail sent to the campus community, the identity, and whether the case is a student, faculty or staff, is not stated.

“We are taking steps to work with the individual to isolate them from others and will be assisting the public health officials in following up with any others that the individual may have recently come into contact with,” the e-mail states.

The University continues to work closely with public health officials, who have familiarity with the case, to follow guidelines to ensure the safety and health of the campus community.

“This is not a time to panic,” the University says. “It is, however, a time to be attentive, flexible, serious, and engaged regarding the steps we need to take as a community to care for ourselves and for one another.”
