Grand Forks Air Force Base reports positive Coronavirus case

The Grand Forks Air Force Base says it has received a report of a COVID-19 case.

“Let me be blunt,” Col. Cameron Pringle, commander of the base’s 319th Reconnaissance Wing, said in a video posted on the Grand Forks Air Force Base's official Facebook page. “We were notified this morning of a positive Coronavirus test result, here on Grand Forks Air Force Base.”

Pringle says the base “is ready for this,” and that members know what to do. He goes on to say all people who need to know have been notified.

“Our response will be better because of the responsible actions of people involved in this case,” he said.

The Wing’s Commander said, on the Base’s Facebook page, that, to protect privacy, no further information will be released.

“We’ve been preparing for this, and together we will get through it,” his post said.

No identifying information is available in regards to this case.
