City of West Fargo to begin street sweeping Monday

The City of West Fargo Public Works Department will begin street sweeping Monday, April 13, 2020. The city has been divided into five zones that correspond with a day of the week. Residents are asked to identify the zone their address is located in and move vehicles off the street between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on that day.

Street sweeping is essential to ensure storm sewer drains remain clear of sediment and debris to eliminate the risk of street flooding. The street sweepers will run for two weeks to ensure that the entirety of the zone has been swept. If zones are not completed during the first scheduled day, sweepers will continue the route the following week, on the same day of the week.

To help stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect employees, the Public Works Department is following guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These include disinfecting trucks between shifts, properly washing hands and avoiding contact with the public while working.
