As COVID-19 continues, West Acres Shopping Center has announced the decision to extend the temporary closure of the mall.

“Currently, we are not prepared to set a new re-opening date, however we are hopeful that day will come sooner than later,” the mall said in a release. “We are working diligently behind the scenes to make steps towards our opening. We want to ensure that when the time comes, we are prepared with the proper protocols and safety measures in place.”

The mall began restricting their hours on March 17 and closed the entire shopping center at 6 p.m. on March 19.

The statement says the next announcement will include the mall’s reopening date and an outlined reopening strategy.
