Section of the 4th Street South Project Work Zone Near 13th Avenue South Opens to Traffic

This week contractors for the City of Fargo 4th Street South Road and Water Main Improvement project will open south portion of the work zone of 4th Street South near 13th Avenue South as project work is completed. Once traffic control is removed 4th Street from 13th Avenue South through 11th Avenue South, including work on 13th Avenue S to the west of 4th Street will be open to traffic.

4th Street S will remain closed to traffic from 11th Avenue S to 6th Avenue South. Single through lane of east and west crossing of 4th Street S between 8th-10th Avenues South will be maintained. The intersection of 6th Avenue S and 4th Street S will remain open to traffic, area businesses and park access.

Additionally, the north portion of 4th Street S between the middle of Prairie St. Johns parking lot to 2nd Street South is closed to traffic as part of the area roadway reconstruction project. Access to the Dike West parking lot and Prairie St. Johns is maintained through Prairie St. Johns south driveway during construction.
