Doosan Bobcat reports presumptive positive COVID-19 case at Gwinner facility

Officials with Doosan Bobcat have confirmed that an employee at their Gwinner production facility has self-disclosed a presumptive positive test for COVID-19.

Spokesperson Stacey Breuer says the company has not received a confirmation from the North Dakota Department of Health.

The employee last worked on Sunday, April 19, and experienced no symptoms while in the facility. The individual works in an isolated area of the South building, and has limited interaction with one other employee, who has been contacted and asked to stay home, Breuer says.

“Out of an abundance of caution, today’s second and third shift have been asked to not report for work, Breuer says. “We have activated our response plan, which includes a thorough cleaning and sanitizing of the employee’s work area and the facility.”

The facility continues to follow or exceed CDC guidelines to safeguard employees.

“We remain in contact with the impacted employee and wish them a full and rapid recovery,” Breuer says.
