Tuszka drafted, two others sign as free agents

 

NDSU defensive end Derrek Tuszka has been drafted by the Denver Broncos.

The 2019 Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year was one of six FCS players selected in the draft. A three-year starter at NDSU, Tuszka was chosen in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, 254th overall by the Broncos.

In his career with NDSU, Tuszka finished with 29.5 career sacks, totaling 202 yards.

Two players also signed as undrafted free agents.

Tight end Ben Ellefson signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and offensive lineman Zach Johnson signed with the Green Bay Packers.
