Fargo Fire responds to deck fire

At 8:03 p.m. Saturday evening, Fargo Firefighters were dispatched to 1136 22nd Street South for a report of a deck on fire.  Upon arrival firefighters found a second floor deck on fire.  Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire preventing it from extending into the apartment.

All occupants of the building evacuated quickly and there were no injuries.  Investigators believe the cause of the fire was due to the improper disposal of smoking materials.  Damage to the building is estimated at $2,000.
