Doosan Bobcat reports second presumptive positive COVID-19 case in Gwinner facility

The Doosan Bobcat Company is reporting a second presumptive positive case for COVID-19 at its Gwinner production facility.

Spokesperson Stacey Breuer says the employee works in the south building, and was last at work on Wednesday, April 21. The employee is in self-quarantine.

“This individual was last in the facility prior to the deep cleaning that took place this past Friday evening,” Breuer says. “As a result, the facility remains open.”

She says the company is in the process of contacting any employees who may have potentially come in close contact with the employee.

William Wilkinson, President of the United Steelworkers Local 550, in Gwinner, told WZFG News, on Friday, that the union is requesting “a shut down of the entire facility.”

“We need investigate and notify all the hourly that may be at risk,” Wilkinson said. “We, the Union, have stated we do not want Coronavirus to spread unchecked. This will help control it.”
