Sen. Cramer: USDA Secretary issues letters on meat packing expectations

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue sending guidance to governors and major meat processing company leaders for implementing President Donald J. Trump’s Executive Order on keeping meat processing facilities open:

“Straightforward guidance and clear expectations are an important part of what our meat packing companies need to safely and successfully reopen and continue operating their processing facilities. I applaud Secretary Perdue for delivering a direct message and working to fulfill President Trump’s Executive Order, and I urge these companies to follow the guidance the Secretary outlined.”
