On Saturday, at 2:33 a.m., Fargo Police officers responded to a disturbance at the Americinn Hotel, 4325 Ave. S. Once on scene officer located a male, laying in a hallway with an apparent stab wound to his lower torso.
The victim, identified as Jakob A. Dirks, a 23 year old from West Fargo, was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead. An autopsy has been ordered.
The incident is still under investigation by the Fargo Police Department.
Alan J. Bear, 21 year old from Cooperstown, was arrested in connection with Dirks death.
