December 2015 Salute to Law Enforcement: Detective Joel Voxland

Detective Joel Voxland has been with the Moorhead Police Department for 12 years, with the last 7 years being assigned to the Investigations Division. As a detective, Joel has expanded his training and experience into computer forensics. This area of expertise continues to expand with technology enhancements along with the number of cases that have computer or technology aspects that need to be explored. Joel has continued to be active promoting safety and educating our citizens through presentations addressing computer identity theft and safety considerations in regard to social media. He is an active partner with Internet Crimes Against Children and the Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center. He has recently received commendations and recognitions of exemplary work, all the while fulfilling his role on the SWAT Negotiations unit. This additional commitment further demonstrates that he sincerely cares about all the citizens that we serve.
