The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center, in Norman, Oklahoma, has issued a tornado watch for several counties in the listening area.
The forecast for this afternoon and evening calls for a 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 4 a.m. Some of these storms may become severe, with rainfall amounts between one and two inches.
