Cramer announces HHS funding for public health emergency preparedness, response

 

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded $5,169,900 to the North Dakota Department of Health for public health emergency preparedness and response.  

This Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) cooperative agreement was approved by the HHS Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Coordinating Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response. The PHEP cooperative agreement provides federal funding for state, local, and territorial public health departments to build and strengthen their abilities to effectively respond to a range of public health threats, including infectious diseases and natural disasters.
