City of West Fargo to test outdoor emergency warning sirens Monday, June 22

The City of West Fargo will test the outdoor emergency warning siren system 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, June 22. The on-site visual and audio inspection helps confirm the 12 outdoor emergency warning sirens in West Fargo will work properly during a significant outdoor emergency situation regarding life safety threats. The inspection confirms that the siren speakers are rotating and that they are sounding correctly. The test will last 10 seconds and is just a drill. The City of West Fargo performs this on-site audio and visual inspection twice a year during the severe weather season and test the system daily in a ‘silent mode.’
