City, Black Lives Matter Fargo-Moorhead officials meet Wednesday

Officials with the City of Fargo and Black Lives Matter of Fargo-Moorhead (BLMFM) met Wednesday in a meeting at Fargo’s City Hall.

Faith Shields-Dixon, who represents BLMFM, tells WZFG News that the meeting was positive.

“Positive change is coming,” she says.

In a statement, the City of Fargo’s Director of Planning and Development, Nicole Crutchfield, echoed Shields-Dixon’s thoughts.

“Today, members of the Fargo Police Department Community Engagement Team and City leaders met with leaders of BLMFM and participated in a positive meeting,” Crutchfield says in the statement. “All parties agreed that we are working towards positive changes, collaboratively. We appreciate the dialogue and look forward to our next meeting.”

It was not clear late Wednesday when the next meeting would take place, nor any of the details of Wednesday’s meeting.
