U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Labor awarded $889,285 to the North Dakota Department of Human Services for demonstration projects to provide work-based job training for low-income, unemployed older Americans as part of the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). The funding announcement comes as part of a $6.2 million nationwide investment.

These funds, authorized by the Older Americans Act of 1965, support innovative approaches to training, customer service, and capacity building to improve service delivery for older unemployed individuals, training, and employment outcomes.
