Fargo Road Construction Continues

As of Thursday night, contractors for the 13th Avenue Road Reconstruction and Infrastructure Improvement Project reopened the 13th Avenue and 50th Street Southwest intersection on the north side of the roadway. All 13th Avenue turning movements from the intersection will be restored.

Weather permitting, on Saturday, crews will open the 13th Avenue and 47th Street South intersection on the north side of the roadway. All underground and concrete paving operations have been completed through this intersection.

Intermittent underground water main installation work is currently being done on the north side intersection of 13th Avenue and 17th Street East. The intersection has narrowed while work is occurring but remains open to traffic. Work is expected to last about two weeks.

Traffic is currently on the south side of 13th Avenue between 47th Street South in Fargo and 12th Street East in West Fargo. Motorists are carried head-to-head, one lane in each direction, plus turn lanes, throughout the project limits. Lane widths are reduced to a maximum of 11 feet throughout the project during this phase. Trucks and other large vehicles are encouraged to use alternate routes.
