Turtle Mountain Housing Authority receives funding from CARES Act

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded $2,992,568 to the Turtle Mountain Housing Authority for a project to construct eight new modular housing units and demolish hazardous uninhabitable units.

This funding comes as an Indian Community Development Block Grant Imminent Threat (ICDBG-IT) grant awarded through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. This is the third phase of grants awarded through the ICDBG-IT program, which provides funds to Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages for community development projects to prepare, prevent, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
