The fight against COVID-19 continues, and has now hit a grim milestone.
With Tuesday morning's reporting, the state now says there have been 100 deaths to the COVID-19 virus. The state's 100th death is a woman in her 20s from McKenzie County. Information from North Dakota's Joint Information Center says the woman had no underlying conditions.
North Dakota now has completed more than 297,000 tests to date, with more than 6,100 positive cases.
Governor Doug Burgum said, in his Tuesday's press conference, COVID-19 patients account for around one percent of all hospital beds across the state. They also account for a low percentage of use of ICU beds across North Dakota.
North Dakota remains at a low risk, but Burgum said the state's position in the colored model has moved towards yellow, instead of blue. Blue is considered the new normal.
