Road construction projects continue in Fargo

 

Several construction projects continue across Fargo, with two nearing completion.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation says its 12th Avenue North bridge deck overlay project continues, and by early Thursday evening, North Dakota D-O-T contractors will remove all traffic control for the 12th Avenue North and I-29 bridge deck overlay. Crews have finished all overlay and concrete repair work and are working to finalize sealing the bridge deck and permanent pavement markings prior to opening.

Three City of Fargo projects continue, according to city officials.

Beginning Thursday, after 7 a.m., contractors plan to begin work on the final section of the 17th Street South road and water main improvement project. Crews will shift project work north to the last remaining section of phase two work taking place on 17th Street South between 21st Avenue to 25th Avenue South. Work on 17th Street South is divided into three sections to maintain residential access as much as possible, with phase one complete and phase two currently taking place. Phase three is forthcoming.

The Fargo Engineering Department has announced a closure on 10th Street South. Beginning Friday afternoon, 10th Street South. will close between 12th and 10th Avenue South. The closure is needed for the replacement of the pavement in the intersection of 10th Street South and 11th Avenue South. The closure is expected to be in place for up to three weeks.
