Cass County Sheriff's Department vehicles get new look

The following news release is from the Cass County Sheriff's Office:

Sheriff Jesse Jahner has changed the look of Cass County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles.

Initially, the new design and color will only effect a few recently acquired squad cars.  Squads currently in the fleet will be changed out in upcoming years once they need replaced.  The squad cars will be silver in color with black and white decals, opposed to the traditional white squad cars the sheriff’s office has utilized for many years.  A transition from utility vehicles to pickup trucks for a majority of the fleet will take place as well.  Sheriff Jahner addressed the need for better response capabilities during adverse winter weather conditions or flooded roadways.

Included in the new decals will be the Cass County Sheriff’s Office new criminal informational tip line:  701-807-TIPS.

The cost to transition from utility vehicles to the pickup truck, to include decals, saves approximately $3,484 per vehicle.
