Cass County Sheriff’s Office to hold Citizens Academy

 

Starting this fall, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office will hold the Cass County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy. The course offers classroom presentations and hands-on training regarding relevant law enforcement topics; the course is free to attend. The 11-week course will be held every Tuesday, starting October 20th and will take place between the hours of 6:30 PMand 9:30 PM.   The program is designed to gain insight into the functions and responsibilities of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office all the while bridging the gap and fostering a relationship with our citizens. 

Requirements to Participate

The basic requirements for interested participants are to be a citizen of Cass County, or currently work within Cass County, and be 18 years of age or older. Interested participants are subject to a background check. We will accept the applications in the sequence they are submitted and approved. The sheriff’s office will contact the applicants in regards to being accepted or not into the academy.
