Politicians Visit Mayville State University

Three North Dakota politicians visited Mayville State University on Friday, encouraging the voters to get to the polls in an important mid-term election cycle.

Josh Boschee, Democratic Candidate for the Secretary of State; Mac Schneider, Democratic Candidate for the House of Representatives; and Heidi Heitkamp, current US Senator, all gathered at Mayville State to talk to the citizens about the issues surrounding the state and country.

All three candidates touched on the importance of the younger population, which will be the future leaders of the country, city and state.

Boschee tells WZFG News that he’s pushing to create a “one stop shop” for business leaders, allowing them to file all of their documents in one central location, without having to go to multiple websites.

Schneider says this year’s election is one of the most important mid-term elections in the cycle.

Heitkamp, whose race against current Representative Kevin Cramer is one of the most hotly contested in the country, says that one of the most important things people can do is get out and make their voice heard—through voting.

Absentee and mail balloting begins on September 27, with the general election taking place on November 5.
