Fargo Police arrest man for terrorizing

At around 12:30 a.m. today, Fargo Officers were sent to the 2700 block of 8th Street North in Fargo for gun shots heard. Officers were also told there was a man dressed like a gorilla carrying a machete.

Officers arrived in the area and spoke with witnesses. They learned the guns shots were large fireworks. They also learned the suspect had threatened people inside the building, and said he was going to blow up the building.

Officers evacuated the building to make sure all residents were safe. We then communicated with the male for several hours. The suspect finally surrendered and was taken into custody.

The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Jorden Pickus. Pickus was taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation, and eventually was arrested and taken to the Cass County Jail on the charge of Terrorizing.
