The Diocese of Fargo says its Bishop has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a press release, Diocese of Fargo Bishop John Folda was informed Friday that he had tested positive for COVID-19. Bishop Folda has been exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19 since early in the week, and had himself tested while self-quarantining in his Fargo home.

"He is currently recovering and is following all directives from medical professionals," a release from the Diocese of Fargo said.

Bishop Folda will continue to self-quarantine until he is cleared to return to his public pastoral duties.
