Grafton Man Arrested for Terrorizing

A Grafton man is behind bars after an incident last week.

According to the arrest affidavit, the Walsh County Sheriff’s Office received a report that 48-year-old Jonathan Linner had pointed a firearm at a woman, named in the affidavit as Jane Doe, and threatened her life. During the investigation, it was discovered that the woman had confronted Linner in regards to his sleeping arrangements and sexual relations with a juvenile female.

A confrontation ensued. After the verbal domestic subsided, the woman sat down on the living room couch. Linner approached her with a gun, grabbed her by the hair and said “If you call the Sheriff’s Department, I can blow your head off even before they get here.”

On Thursday, a traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of Highway 17 and 152nd Avenue NE. The driver was Linner and he was taken into custody. Inside the vehicle were several firearms. Linner faces a Class C Felony charge of Terrorizing-Domestic Violence.
