A 38-year-old Pisek man is dead after a crash in rural Walsh County early Sunday morning.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at an unknown time, likely between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. at the intersection of 135th Avenue NE and 66th Street NE, approximately one-and-a-half miles south of Park River, a 2008 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Cab was driven south on 135th Avenue NE, when the male driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and entered the west ditch.
The Ford struck the north ditch enbankment of 66th Street Northeast, where it overturned onto its right side. The driver was partially ejected and died at the scene. His name is being withheld pending notification of family.
The crash is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
