Grand Forks Police Respond to Disturbance Call

 

The Grand Forks Police Department is investigating a disturbance call late Thursday night in the city.

According to a news release, the Grand Forks Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1100 block of 5th Avenue North, shortly after 11 p.m.

Several 9-1-1 calls were received with the report of possible gunfire associated with the disturbance. Officers arrived on scene, and located one male in the area, who was the victim, and stated that three males in a silver Nissan confronted him.

During the verbal confrontation, the male victim stated that one of the passengers in the vehicle pointed a firearm out the window of the silver car and fired a round in his direction.  The victim then began running from the scene to get away from the suspects, who he believed began chasing after him on foot.  The suspects fled the area prior to officers arriving on scene.
