Kavanaugh Confirmed to U.S. Supreme Court

In a close vote, Judge Brett Kavanaugh has been confirmed and will assume a spot as a Justice on the United States Supreme Court. Senators voted 50-48 on Saturday afternoon to confirm Kavanaugh.

As expected, several protesters were on hand—and some arrested—for Saturday’s vote in Washington, D.C. The protests come on the heels of heartfelt testimony from Dr. Christine Blasey-Ford last week and an investigation by the FBI, which was ordered following the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing last week. Reported on Fox News this week, the investigation found nothing more than what was already known—therefore, there was no reason for delay of the confirmation vote for Kavanaugh.

Kavanaugh will be the 114th Justice of the Supreme Court.
