Fargo Public Schools set to move closer to renaming Woodrow Wilson High School

Fargo Public Schools is set to move one step closer to renaming Woodrow Wilson High School. At its meeting Tuesday, the board will narrow down a list of 26 names to the top five names, which will then be forwarded to the December 8 board meeting, at which time discussion and selection of the final name will take place.

The changes come as a result of the October 13 board meeting, where members rescinded the name of Woodrow Wilson High School,, effective for the 2021-22 school year.

According to the school district, 129 unique names were submitted through the school district's website. Among the names making the final 26 were Central High School, Fargo Community High School, Gladys Ray High School, RISE Academy, R.B. Ginsberg High School and Valley High School.
