One individual fatally shot himself Monday morning as officers were arriving to a call of citizens talking with a suicidal man.
According to Fargo Police, officers were called at 9:33 a.m. to the 1900 block of 7th Avenue North. As officers were arriving, and before they had the opportunity to engage the person in dialogue, the individual fatally shot himself.
The investigation is ongoing. No Fargo Police officers were involved in the incident.
"This is a traumatic event for the family of the victim, the citizens in the area at the time and for our responding officers," Lieutenant George Vinson said in a news release Monday morning.
