Hoeven reacts to Fargo's selection for Fisher House

Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement after the Fargo Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Care System was selected for priority construction by the Fisher House Foundation. Once built, the Fisher House will provide free accommodations to the families and caregivers of veterans receiving care at the Fargo VA Medical Center. Hoeven worked to advance the Fargo VA’s application, stressing the critical support that families provide during periods of serious illness and urging the foundation to approve the application.

“This is an important development for veterans in our region, as well as their family members and caregivers, who will have a convenient and free place to stay while their loved ones receive the care they need at the Fargo VA,” said Hoeven. “That means a higher quality of life for veterans at the medical center and less expense and burden being placed upon their families.”
