I-29 Crash Injures Minnesota Woman

 

A Fergus Falls, Minnesota, woman was injured in a crash Monday morning on I-29 south of Hillsboro.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, 54-year-old Janice Kuchar, of Fergus Falls, was southbound on the right lane of I-29 when the Honda CRV she was driving veered across the left lane and impacted guard cables at an overpass over the Elm River near Grandin.

The SUV came to rest across both southbound lanes. A short time later, rescue crews cleared the right lane, allowing traffic to continue southbound.

Kuchar was charged with care required and was transported by ambulance to a Fargo hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
