Fargo Police, along with Fargo Fire and FM Ambulance were called to 1st Avenue South and 14th Street for a vehicle versus power pole crash at approximately 1:07 p.m. this afternoon.
Preliminary investigation shows the vehicle was west bound on 1st Avenue South and veered directly into the pole on the northwest corner of the intersection.
The adult female driver and an adult male passenger suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries in the crash. Both occupants were transported by ambulance to the hospital.
There is also major damage to the vehicle and an Xcel Energy power pole. The crash caused power outages in this area and Xcel Energy is on scene working to repair the heavy damage and restore power.
