Incoming snow, cold and wind. How much snow?

Changes are on the way, another storm system will be knocking at our door Wednesday night into Friday.  First, however, we will warm up into the low 40s on Wednesday.  As a cold front blasts through the area, we will see a brief shot of rain Wednesday after dark.  Luckily as temps drop, precip will shut off.  We should see a break in the precip on Thursday AM before snow develops toward evening and lasts into Friday.  The most aggressive model is the ECMWF (European Model)  which is depicting 2-4" of snow with heavier amounts to our south and east.  Most all other models are only giving us 1-2"  Either way, don't focus on snow amounts but rather the STRONG winds that will accompany the light snow which may cause near white out conditions Friday AM.  If you have any travel plans on Friday, please keep up to date on the forecast.
