North Dakota lawmakers hear revenue projections

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Lawmakers are comparing revenue information from analysts with projections made by the executive branch.  The House and Senate appropriation committees heard from IHS Markit analysts yesterday, who projected a good recovery toward the end of the year but "rough sailing" until then.

Oil tax revenue plummeted last year as the COVID-19 pandemic limited travel and decreased oil usage.

Legislative budget writers will use the information from both sources to create a budget projection.
