Road Closures Will Occur to Facilitate Xcel Energy Project

Xcel Energy has begun construction on a new 115kV transmission line between the Red River and Maple River Substations. Foundation work is underway near the Red River Substation on 3rdAvenue North and 18th Street North and will continue northwest towards the Maple River Substation located just south of Reile’s Acres.

Beginning the week of October 29, 17th Street North between 7th and 8th Avenue North and Great Northern Drive between 8th Avenue North and 25th Street North will be impacted by Xcel Energy’s project. Please be advised that lane shifts and traffic control will be in place and street parking will be limited in these areas until approximately mid-November.
