On Wednesday June 20th, 2018, The Clay County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Wahpeton Police
Department and the Norman County Sheriff’s Office with a Missing person’s case out of Wahpeton, ND.
The missing person report was for Troy Edmund Yarbrough DOB 6-27-76.
During the investigation it was learned that Mr. Yarbrough was last seen in the company of Jason
Douglas Jensen dob 7-7-78 and Kayla Louise Westcott DOB 7-24-83.
The investigation lead to the detention of these two people of interest in the disappearance of Mr.
Yarbrough. A search Warrant was obtained for the property and person of Mr. Jensen. The Red River
Valley Regional SWAT team was used to secure Mr. Jensen and the residence.
The property was then held for a search to be conducted with the assistance of the MN BCA and their
Crime Lab Team. The search discovered what appeared to be human remains. These remains were sent to
the Ramsey County Medical Center for identification.
This is still an ongoing investigation at this time.
